Our deliveries are all linked in and we aim to deliver within 15 working days. Whilst every effort is made to fulfil deliveries within this time frame, there can be occasions where it may take a little longer. Deliveries are performed Monday – Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
Please mention any specific delivery requirements, including dates and times in the comment section of your quote at the checkout and we will endeavour to do our best to work within these parameters wherever possible.
The logistics of tree deliveries
Barcham have been delivering container grown trees to all parts of the UK since the early 90’s and during that time have developed an expertise in ensuring that trees are received by customers when required and in perfect condition. While not owning a vehicle fleet Barcham has built up a strong relationship with a small group of haulage companies who have developed a deep knowledge of how to handle container grown trees.
The vehicles that are used range in size from 7.5t rigid or flat-bed trailers to rigid or curtain-sided articulated lorries less frequently. Therefore it is important to make the Sales team at Barcham Trees aware of any specific requirements and discuss options prior to placing your order and receiving delivery.
Please ensure you have people on site to unload the trees. Our hauliers are contracted to make a kerbside delivery only, or to nearest access which is within the terms of their insurance.
These vehicles do not carry on-board lifting equipment or machinery such as cranes or forklifts and so if you have ordered trees in 150l containers or more, you will need suitable measures in place to unload.
An enhanced delivery service is available with trees off loaded by crane which can be particularly useful where space is restricted at the delivery site, please discuss specific requirements with our Sales team who will be happy to provide you with a quote.
